Laboratory flasks come in a variety of shapes and a wide range of sizes. In general, these vessels have a comparably wide body and narrow tubular sections with an opening at the top called necks. Flasks are used in nearly every laboratory operation, including solution preparation, volume measurement, boiling, chemical reactions and many more. Glass and plastic versions of the most common flasks are offered.
