Expression cloning
Description
Expression cloning is a DNA cloning technique that can be used to manufacture large amounts of specific proteins as well as for the discovery of the link between translated proteins and the corresponding DNA sequences. This method uses expression vectors – viruses or plasmids that contain the required DNA sequences as well as enhancer and promoter regions. These expression vectors are used to generate clones that express a single protein.
